During your visit

Our priority is to make it as comfortable as possible

What to expect when you arrive

We are dedicated to providing excellent medical care. We also want to ensure that our patients receive the best support possible. This section provides helpful information for individuals preparing for an inpatient or outpatient procedure.

Upon arrival

On arrival you will be looked after by our polite and attentive staff in our clean and comfortable facilities. You will be greeted by our reception team and will be introduced to your Health Care Assistant who will work alongside the medical team to look after your needs and ensure that you are comfortable.

If your procedure involves a general anaesthetic you will be given all the time you need to recover in a peaceful environment, under the supervision of our clinical team.

Before you are discharged our team will ensure that you are fully informed about any medication you need to take. Queen Anne Street Medical Centre has a pharmacy onsite that enables us to provide you with all your prescribed medications before you leave. We will also provide assistance in planning transport home and provide you with details on who to contact for follow-up appointments after leaving the centre.

Safeguarding

Queen Anne Street Medical Centre is committed to providing a safe, comfortable environment, where patients and staff can be confident that best practice is being followed at all times. The safety of everyone is of paramount importance. There is a Safeguarding Officer and safeguarding procedures in place for adults and children at Queen Anne Street Medical Centre.

Meals

QASMC has a reputation for its quality meals. Our executive chef and his team provide a seasonal menu for our patients. Our chefs are happy to accommodate any special dietary requirements or preferences.

Children

At QASMC we welcome children. Please make sure that your child’s favourite toy or blanket comes to hospital as well. If there is something else that you feel would make your child’s stay more enjoyable, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Medications

In order to provide the best possible care for you it is important that you advise your anaesthetist or nurse of all medications that you are currently taking and of any allergies or sensitivities that you may have.
