Commonly used to treat and improve:

The appearance of acne scarring and the overall texture of the skin

The process:

Sometimes called micro needling, this treatment uses a small handheld rolling device that is covered with lots of tiny needles. As the device rolls along the skin the needles penetrate the upper layers of skin.

Results:

The treatment has two major benefits; collagen production is stimulated, also topical skincare can be absorbed more effectively through the top layer of skin. Your overall complexion will be much smoother. The appearance of fine lines and wrinkles will be improved too and the skin will look fresh and rejuvenated

After treatment:

The skin is likely to reddened by this treatment and remain so for a day or two. Your regular make-up should conceal this skin very well

Longevity:

We recommend a course of three treatments with a repeat session in two weeks, then a maintenance session every two or three months for skin rejuvenation.

The aging process:

When we think about the signs of aging, most of us think about faces, however one of the earliest signs of aging is on the back of the hands

The problem:

As we age the plump tissue layers under the skin of the hands diminishes allowing veins and tendons to be become more visible and giving that aged look to the back of the hands.

The Solution:

Volumising injectables placed below the skin on the back of the hands will return the plumpness to the skin giving an overall more youthful look and feel to the back of the hands.

The Process:

The process is very straight forward and can be completed in under thirty minutes. A small amount of local anaesthetic will be used followed by the volumising injection.

After Treatment:

Almost instant improvements with soft, subtle & more youthful looking hands.

Longevity:

Treatments can last up to twelve months in many patients with a single treatment

What is a Mole:

Firstly, moles are very common. You can be born with them or develop them as any age. The are a cluster of pigmented cells beneath the skin which gives the appearance of a dark spot or bump on the skin.

The problem:

The main worry with moles is that sometimes they may develop into a form of skin cancer so called melanoma. This form of skin cancer can be fatal, is best spotted early.

Who’s at risk?
  • If you have many moles over your body, this is an indication of susceptibility.
  • Those who have a family history of Melanoma.
  • Moles that change, itch or crack or bleed for no reason.
  • Moles that become raised or change colour for no reason
  • New moles that develop on or around and existing mole
  • All of the above are indicators that a professional opinion should be sought.
Treatment:

Your Mole can be assesses by one of our Consultant Plastic Surgeons and if necessary removed by a short surgical procedure with local anaesthetic. This will take around 30 minutes.

After treatment:
  • The small skin incision is likely to cause you some minor discomfort for a day or so but can be managed easily with simple pain relief
  • It is likely that you will have a few skin stitches that will need to be removed 7 – 10 days after the procedure.
  • The mole will be sent to a specialist laboratory for testing and when you return to have your stitches removed we will be able to give you the results.

Commonly used to treat and improve:

Sclerotherapy is the treatment for thread veins in the legs and on the face

The process:

This is a simple procedure and no anaesthetic is required. A solution or sclerosing drug is injected at several points along the veins. This causes the vein walls to collapse and the overall appearance is significantly improved resulting in more youthful, smoother looking legs.

Results:

You will see a marked improvement in the treated veins. Thicker or clusters of thread veins being treated may not be removed completely in one treatment.

After treatment:

You can normally go about your normal activities after treatment. Compression stockings or dressings may be required to promote healing and help assist with compression of the veins.

Longevity:

It is common to need several treatments every four to six weeks. It is common for people to need two to four sessions
